Bosa Properties is looking for a ­­­­Corporate Accounting Intern to join our team of talented real estate professionals. Reporting to the ­­Controller, Corporate Accounting, this individual will have a unique opportunity to ­­­­gain experience in various areas of the department while working with seasoned professionals on high-profile projects. The corporate accounting team works to provide timely and meaningful financial insights to enable the business to analyze performance and make data-driven decisions.

What You'll Do

• Prepare monthly journal entries to support monthly close activities;
• Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger, including preparation of monthly reconciliations and perform month-end closing procedures;
• Assist the team with documentation of procedures;
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate recording of transactions;
• Assist the team in the preparation of financial reports;
• Maintenance of records in collaborative workspaces;
• Additional tasks may be assigned based on capacity and aptitude.

• Three (3) years of post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or Finance; 
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and tasks in an efficient and effective manner; 
• Exemplary attention to detail; 
• Demonstrated ability to listen intently and work collaboratively, building strong relationships across the organization; 
• Prior internship experience within finance or accounting would be considered a strong asset; 
• Familiarity with or exposure to accounting systems from a previous internship, especially Yardi would be considered a strong asset. 

Salary

The expected base salary range for this role is $48,000 - $53,000. Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
