About The Role

Bosa Properties is looking for a Development Accountant to join our team of talented real estate professionals. Reporting to theController, Development Accounting this individual will have a unique opportunity to gain insights into the real estate development industry and develop their technical accounting and transferable skills. You will play a key role in the management of 80+ properties.

 

What You'll Do

  • Deliver and complete accurate multi-year draw requests to support cash management objectives;
  • Complete all time-sensitive deliverables accurately, including draw processing and deposit and sales reconciliations;
  • Ensure closings are accounted for to properly recognize revenues;
  • Ensure regulatory filings happen on schedule;
  • Complete full-cycle accounting and month-end close;
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the internal customer group (development, marketing, sales, legal, customer care, corporate accounting);
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Two (2) years of experience in real estate development accounting, or another industry, with large, multi-year projects;
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills gained through your experience working on long-term forecasting projects;
  • Demonstrated ability to listen intently and work collaboratively, building strong relationships across the organization and with external partners;
  • CPA designation or currently pursuing CPA will be considered an asset;
  • Experience with Yardi will be considered an asset.

Salary

The expected base salary range for this role is $61,100 - $84,000. Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
